Okay, not actually the 21st, specifically, but since Earth, Wind & Fire are playing Saturday at NewWestFest, I kinda thought it was appropriate for the September updates!
NewWestFest is this weekend, so check out http://www.newwestfest.org for all of the details and head to fabulous Old Town Fort Collins to catch your favorite bands! Here’s a few highlights for the swing and salsa crowd:
**Boa and the Constrictors - Saturday, 12:35pm, Linden Street Stage

**The Informants - Saturday 6:45pm, Mountain Avenue Stage

September also means progressive lessons!
**This September we’re offering Lindy Hop 1 and 2 four-week progressive lessons starting Sunday the 5th of September and continuing on the 12th, 19th, and 26th. Lindy 1 starts at 6:00pm and Lindy 2 at 7:15pm. The cost is $35 per person for the whole month and includes entry to Avo’s the following Monday so you can practice what you learn! As always, no partner is necessary, and no experience is needed for Lindy 1. A strong grasp on the basics is required for Lindy 2. You can pay online or at the door. Lessons are held at the CCB South Studio, 4103 S. Mason St.
**September Salsa lessons at the Rio will be Level 2 Salsa!! (I know, exciting, eh?) Every Tuesday in September (the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th) from 7:00 to 8:00 before the regular dance at the Rio, Riqui and Michael will teach progressive, intermediate Salsa lessons. The format is the same as for swing lessons - $35 per person for the whole month and includes entry to each night’s dance. A strong grasp on the basics is required and you can pay online or at the door.
