Hey Dancers, what are you doing this beautiful weekend?  I’ll tell you what you should be doing: going to the Fort Collins Jazz Experience the Saturday in Old Town Fort Collins!

**Saturday, July 11**

—12 noon - 12:45pm: Gypsy Swing Review (gypsy jazz) @ Old Town Square Stage

—2:30 - 3:00pm: After Midnight (awesome swing) @ Oak Street Plaza Stage

—5:00 - 6:00pm: Otra Vez (Latin jazz) @ Old Town Square Stage

—5:30 - 7:00pm: Queen City Jazz Band (New Orleans jazz) @ Oak Street Plaza Stage

But wait, there’s more!!!

The Jumpin’ JiveCats will be performing from 2:00 to 2:30pm on the Oak Street Plaza Stage right before After Midnight plays!  This is a limited time offer, and won’t be available after 2pm Saturday, so be sure to act now and plan to be at Oak Street (by the fountains) to catch the action!

A Fort Collins Jazz Experience
with Downtown Sessions
July 9-11, 2009


Do you love Jazz?  Music, history, and the whole experience is ready for you to enjoy!  A Fort Collins Jazz Experience is committed to bringing the highest quality jazz music and its history to Fort Collins.  The Downtown Business Association has teamed up with Downtown businesses and Beet Street to bring you a full jazz weekend!  Two stages of free continuous jazz jams from local and regional musicians, jazz art, educational sessions for students, as well as a special ticketed national headliner concerts await you at the Fort Collins Jazz Experience!  Details, prices, and locations vary based on each event.

LESSONS: Swing and Salsa-  Mini-lessons only for the month of July- join us at 7:30pm to brush up or learn a few moves before the dance!

***Live Music!!!***

The Rhythm Company is happy to announce that David Booker will be performing at our Avogadro’s Number swing dances three, count ‘em, three times this summer!  Monday June 29th, July 13th, and August 3rd be sure to come down to Avo’s at 605 South Mason Street and dance to some of the best live swingin’ R&B Colorado has to offer!  The band plays from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. and we DJ after that.  $5 at the door. 

Hey Dancers!  Just a quick note to remind everyone about lessons for the month of July…

Swing

No progressive lesson this month, but the mini-lesson will be from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m., right before the dances on Monday nights at Avo’s. Same bargain price of $3!


Salsa

No progressive lesson this month, but the mini-lesson continues as usual from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m., right before the dances on Tuesday nights upstairs at the Rio.  Same bargain price of $3, as usual!
